Deliveries will begin on February 24th, 2025 (after the school mid-term break) and we are aiming to complete them by St. Patrick’s Day.

A Chairde,; great to send this out today to our successful community projects!

Great news – Your tree sapling request is now being processed. Deliveries will begin on February 24th, 2025 (after the school mid-term break) and we are aiming to complete them by St. Patrick’s Day.

What to Expect:

Deliveries may arrive at any time in the day and may be left at your gate, so please keep an eye out for An Post! Please email us to let us know they’ve arrived safely.

  • Trees usually arrive in large bin bag-sized, heavy gauge forestry bags.
  • The bags are black-lined to mimic winter conditions.
  • Saplings can survive in a healthy state for up to three weeks in these bags when you keep the bags closed and in a cool location until you intend to plant.
  •  Caring for Your Trees
To help your bare-root trees thrive, check out our tree care tips and How to Plant a Sapling Tree – Easy Treesie’s award-winning 2-minute film at our project in Shankill.

If deer, rabbits or other tree-eating animals share your planting area then now would be a good time to purchase tree-guards
Having mulch to hand will get your new saplings off to a great start by keeping down weeds and stopping your baby trees from drying out.
