Hmm. Not so simple.
Follow the First Class Recyclers
First class recycling efforts around Fingal’s newest school when this film was made; follow our plan and copy our solutions to the challenges we all face that we have found using the Green Schools programme. We were really pleased to win a national award from REPAK for this film, an ipad which we used to film our progress. During our subsequent work we hooked up with Plant-for-the-Planet, a United Nations Environment Programme project to plant a million trees in every country of the world with its children. We learned all about composting, the circular economy and growing things, we extended it to trees, continuing earlier planting in our school until we ran out of space, then moving onto public land. It’s Easy Treesie.

Tree Cheers for these excellent young tree planters who kicked off our first major National Tree Week Public Park initiative by planting silver birch tree seeds in Tetrapak School Milk cartons and saplings at Baldoyle Racecourse Park with Fingal County Council’s Parks Manager, Therese Casey. This formed part of the winning entry for the Eco Unesco Local to Global Award for St. Laurence National School.
