National Tree Week Planting and other Green Fun…

And we’re thinking green this St. Patrick’s Day…thanks so much to the amazing Coláiste Chiaráin community at Croom, Co. Limerick who planted 100 maple trees in their magnificent school campus grounds…and some shamrock…with their U.S. visitors from Springdale school in Philadelphia PA. Our planting party included some impressive Irish dancing as the new saplings were “put to bed” with some fancy footwork!

It’s great to be invited back to Swords County Hall on Thursday 23rd to meet with local schoolchildren and tree enthusiasts.

We’re excited to be back in Lusk, Co. Dublin on Friday planting with local schoolchildren with the collaboration of Fingal Co. Council; thanks very much to those organising at the Lusk Recreational Hub (the children’s event is not open to the public). There will be some community planting taking place to finish off the school children’s work. The school planting will be supported by our stalwart friends at the Swords Woodland Association.

We hope to be hosting some surprise visitors during the week…watch this space for more details and indeed our upcoming planting plans…

Every good wish to our many communities planting trees up and down the country…we look forward to hearing your stories of making space for nature!
