We are shortlisted! It’s a FES-TREE-VAL. I got this message from them, so exciting. Not often we have festivals these days, is it and a science one; brilliant. Mind you #jointhecountdown certainly had a festival feeling, we are looking forward to our event in that series. In the meantime here is this great one, this is what Enda sent to me;
“For this Sunday, the announcement of the ReelLIFE SCIENCE winners will be made during the Galway Science and Technology Festival Virtual Show, which begins at 11:00 AM, and can be viewed at http://www.galwayscience.ie. This is a 90 minute family science show, with a great line up of activities for all ages, including the Science of Exercise, The Bug Doctor, Scientific Sue, Science on the Celtic Explorer, Medtronic’s lifesaving technologies, the Science of Santa, and of course the ReelLIFE SCIENCE Awards.
After the show, premiering at 12:30, there will be a 30 min screening of the full length videos at primary school, secondary school and youth group level, along with the prizewinning videos from the ReelLIFE SCIENCE @ HOME competition we ran in April and May. This will be available at http://www.youtube.com/GalwayScience and on our own channel http://www.youtube.com/ReelLifeScience.
We really would have loved to welcome you this year to NUI Galway for our usual Awards Ceremony and Screening during the Festival, when 20,000-30,000 members of the public descend on our campus for Ireland’s biggest science festival, but we are excited for this Sunday’s virtual show that is sure to draw a huge crowd from Ireland and around the world.
